New year

I started reading the Bible in a year today. Lifechurch's Bible app is
awesome and has the year readings built in with whatever version you
like. I like the NLT myself.
If you have an iPhone, you should get this app. It's the first one
that comes up of you search "bible" in the app store.

I'm also trying to get the pounds off. 3 lbs so far. About 20 to go.

I gotta get my sorry butt back in the gym when we get home.

What are your goals for 2009?

I'm also reading the Bible in a year on my ipod, so far I like it - we'll see what happens if I get behind..in the past I've had a bookmark in the place that I'd left off so I knew right where to start again. I don't think I can do that on the ipod touch. Anyway, I've given my paper copy of my Bible in a Year to my daughter so I'm committed to making this work (or I'll go out and buy another paper copy) :)

I've read through the Bible a couple of times within a year's time. It was interesting to log some of the life events that occurred during those years and how the glut of God's word really helped in those life events. I also recorded notes in the Bible margin's and then gave the Bible to one of my kids as a momento to them. For example, I did it the year my oldest son was a senior in High School, so I gave the marked up Bible to him from that year. This year I'm doing the MP3 deal from church and starting in 1 John for my personal study.
